The first time my mom and I ever watched Confessions of a Shopaholic, I felt a weird connection. I mean, does anyone else’s heart strings tug from the line, ““A man will never love you or treat you as well as a store. If a man doesn’t fit, you can’t exchange him seven days later for a gorgeous cashmere sweater. And a store always smells good. A store can awaken a lust for things you never even knew you needed. And when your fingers first grasp those shiny, new bags…” Mine does. I mean, hello you preach it Rebecca! –
My little kid self used to walk around the wall with curly haired pigtails in, swinging my purse around taking in the pure bliss that is a shopping mall.
Now this isn’t my confession in shopaholics anonymous or my autobiographical version of Confessions of a Shopaholic, readers. This, however, is the start of a new set of posts I will be starting called “My Recent Splurges.”

Sparkle and Shine 
I have always wanted to splurge on MK! I guess the biggest thing I have splurged on lately is a trip to Alabama with one of my sorority sisters. Not something I thought I’d do. When I was down in Alabama we went to an MK outlet and I fell in love a million times looking at all their pretty stuff. If I was going to splurge on MK, though, I think I’d get one of their watches because I am in love with their watches.

Hooray for splurges! I used to splurge on Coach purses and wallets, now I have switched to Dooney and Bourke!
Lovely choices! I love the sunglasses especially. I’ve been trying to find designer pieces at thrift stores and consignment, because I definitely can’t afford them right now. But I still do love designer things!
